Boy Choir of the Carolinas - USA
The Boy Choir of the Carolinas was founded in 1994.
The Boy Choir of the Carolinas, a choral group for young men between
the ages of 8 and 18, is a non-profit that develops vocal talents in a
disciplined ensemble. David R. White, formerly the Music Director of
Florida's Singing Sons Boychoir and Artistic Director of the Atlanta
Boy Choir, founded the Boy Choir of the Carolinas in Greenville, South
Carolina.
In 1997 the Boy Choir participated in
the International Choir Festival in Prague, Czech Republic. In 1998,
the Boy Choir was selected to participate in Americafest, an
international festival of male choirs, held in Collegeville, Minnesota.
The Boy Choir has performed on South Carolina Educational Television,
with the Greenville Symphony, for the South Carolina Choral Directors'
Association and for the inauguration of the Governor of South Carolina.
Numerous performances are held each year throughout the southeastern
states.
