The Boys Air Choir

The Boys Air Choir was founded in 1996. It's aim was to produce the highest quality boys choir and this was achieved by selecting the best trebles from the best known English Cathedral and College Choirs. It has 7 -8 members and the choirmaster who has been Connor Burrowes since his voice broke. Because of the boys commitments to their own choir and school, tours and recordings are usually done in the holidays. Usually a tour is arranged to Japan (where the choir has been most successful) in the Summer holidays. Recordings are often made in London studios and then transferred to Japan where they are mixed and released on the Victor label.
The first album released by the choir (1997) was 'Requiem' featuring treble solos by Connor Burrowes which sold more than 50,000 copies in Japan alone. It was followed by an EP of Christmas Carols called 'Believe'. These carols have now been added to the Requiem CD which is available in the USA distributed by Justin Time music. The Boys Air Choir second full CD featured the treble voice of Connor's brother Edward Connors and was called 'Bluebird'. This was also highly successful in Japan and is also distributed by Justin Time in the USA. This has been followed by another 5 full albums - Air, Boys on Bach, Boys Gregorian, In Paradisium and Boys Air Choir Merry Christmas. There has also been a re-release compilation album called 'Memories - Best of Boys Air Choir'.  Other choirboys that have had significant solos on these albums are Patrick Burrowes (another brother), Tristan Hambleton, Dominic Collingwood and Harry Sever.
