Buttons with a red

Founded
in 1968 by Donald Forbes, the British Columbia Boys Choir has won
international acclaim throughout Canada, the Netherlands, the United
States, Europe, the Czech Republic, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark and
Scotland. The British Columbia Boys Choir has three Choirs: an
International Touring Choir, The Town Choir and the Choristers, with
members ranging in age from 8-24 years and residing across the Greater
Vancouver area.
The BCBC Touring Choir is a four-part,
non-liturgical boys choir, one of the few in North America. Over its 35
year history the BCBC has trained over 850 members who have represented
Canada on 17 international tours, performing a demanding repertoire
spanning centuries, from Gregorian chant to contemporary works. In
addition to frequent radio and television appearances, the Choir has
made over 20 recordings and a one-hour documentary film "Summer Song"
was produced by the CBC, profiling the Choir's 10th tour to The
Netherlands. The Choir currently has four CDs on the market: Places
(July 2002), Symmetry (July 2000); Spirit (July 1998) and Legacy
(Christmas CD: released in celebration of 25 years of Christmas
concerts).
