Boys Choir, USA
The Burlington Boys Choir is located in Burlington, North Carolina and was founded in 1958. The choir
ranges from 15-30 boys, who work very hard all year long learning numerous
pieces of music, which are sung from memory. The music ranges from early church
music and classical themes to contemporary songs. The choirboys commit between
200 to 250 sheets of music to memory each year. They sing in many different
languages: Italian, German, Latin, French, Portuguese and English. The
Burlington Boys Choir provides not just choral training, but also self-esteem,
discipline, persistence and confidence. The real rewards of participating in the
Burlington Boys Choir are realized in later years when the dedication and rigor
required to stay abreast of the demanding and wide ranging activities of the
choir are translated into the confidence and abilities to pursue difficult goals
with only excellence in mind.
